We will demonstrate in detail how to report income in Chile as a self-employed person and create a “boleta de honorarios” in your Chilean Internal Revenue Service (SII) account.
1. In the “Servicios online” field, select the “Boletas de honorarios electronicas” item.
2. Next, click “Emisor de boletas de honorarios”
then “Emitir boleta de honorarios electronica”
and “Por contribuyente.”
You select the first item if the company or person in whose name you are issuing boleta pays tax for you.
If you pay tax yourself and submit a monthly return for the month, you select point 2.
Next, press the “Continuar” key.
3. In this form you must fill in the RUT, the name of the organization, or the last and first name of the person in whose name you are placing the boleta. Also – address, region, commune. Select the code and name of your economic activity that you registered. Enter the check amount. Next, press the “Confirmar Emission” button.
4. Click on the “Emitir Boleta de Honorarios Electronica” button.
5. Boleta is generated, you can send it to the email address of the person in whose name you issued the check.
6. The last step is to enter the email address and press the “Enviar”.
7. Boleta is generated and sent to the recipient’s address. Press the “Salir”.
