Answers for your questions

Yes, two citizenship is possible in Chile without any restrictions and getting a Chilean passport, you do not need to renounce your existing citizenship.

This is the essence of our support. During the process of collecting documents, you will have a dedicated specialist to help you prepare them correctly, check them before submission, and submit them through the migration service’s website. Upon your arrival in Chile, one of our specialists will be with you at relevant authorities. This will continue throughout the entire process until the moment you receive your passport. Additionally, migration laws may change, and our specialists stay up-to-date with these changes and adjust our actions accordingly.

We work on two procedures: the Chilean relative and the rentier procedure. According to the procedure “Relatives of a Chilean”, parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers of a Chilean can apply for a residence permit. According to the rentier procedure, the requirement is that the applicant has passive income in the form of a pension or benefits, or from renting out real estate. At the same time, the property can be located anywhere in the world. Also, the applicant must not have outstanding criminal records.

If you meet the requirements for submission, the necessary documents are prepared within a month. It takes an average of 3-6 months from the time of submission to approval. Our clients have a record of 1.5 months.

A residence permit is issued for a period of two years. If the requirements are met, then the application for permanent residence takes place within this period. If not, you can extend the residence permit for another two years, or apply for a new residence permit.

A residence permit or permanent residence in Chile gives you all the basic rights to live in the country, except for having a passport. You can work, open a business, apply for health insurance, buy real estate and vehicles, and travel to Mercosur countries without a passport.

To obtain permanent residence in Chile, there are two requirements: to prove economic viability and to reside in Chile cumulatively for 22 months out of the 24-month period for which a residence permit was granted. This period can be reduced to 12 months with a reasonable request to the National Director of the Migration Service. We can prepare similar requests for our clients. At the same time, codependent applicants, such as spouses and children, do not need to reside in the country in order to obtain permanent residence if the main applicant has lived the required period.

If a child is born in Chile, they automatically receive citizenship without any additional requirements. In other cases, in order to apply for Chilean citizenship, the applicant must meet certain conditions. These include proving economic viability and having ties with the country. Additionally, the applicant must have lived in Chile for at least 5 years (or 2 years if they are a relative of a Chilean) and be over the age of 14 at the time of application. It is recommended that applicants live in Chile permanently for at least one year before applying for citizenship.
