INTERVIEW WITH OUR CLIENT HOW THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF CHILE FOR BIRTH TOURISM HAS GROWN IN THE “NEW REALITY.”
Oh… how we have been waiting for the opportunity to get this interview! That is not only because we are happy to share with you our first-hand impressions of Chile. The reason for our rejoicing is that our guest today is the first who flew to us since the opening of the borders. For us, it is a sign that life goes on and our mission is needed by people, maybe even more than ever.
At the request of our client, we have changed her name and will not publish her profiles on social networks. Not all people are ready for publicity and we respect that! However, we hope that despite the anonymity, the information shared by the future Chile-mother will be useful to the readers of our blog!
— The first question will not shine with originality. Why did you choose to give birth in Chile?
— I’ll answer the question with a question: where else to give birth now? There aren’t many options at the moment. It is difficult to enter the USA for those who do not have a valid visa.
As for Chile and the Chilean passport, what is important to me is not only free movement around the world as a tourist for its holders. I am attracted to the fact that as a Chilean, my child will have the opportunity to obtain Spanish citizenship. This is an exciting perspective.
— How was the flight to Chile under current conditions? What advice would you give to our future guests?
— The issue of buying tickets is exhausting. It’s not easy to get to Chile now. The main advice is to get a Schengen visa in advance! Do not forget that most flights are now organized with long transfers, often leaving the transit zone.
In general… Traveling is always fascinating. A pregnant woman’s journey to the end of the world is an even more exciting adventure!
— We know that you have already been to Chile and Latin America. What are your impressions of the trip this year? Has Chile changed during the pandemic?
“It’s not really about these changes. Our last visit to Chile was unusually bright. We traveled from Santiago down to Tierra del Fuego. We traveled the whole country by car, flew on planes three times, sailed on a ferry… Then the purpose of the visit was primarily to enjoy the natural beauties of Chile, which are truly impressive. Many unique animals and plants, the wild beauty of lands untouched by humans. But now what can I say… Viña-del-Mar and Santiago are fairly standard Latin American cities, without any special flavor.
We agree with you! Chile is more of a country of luxurious nature than of historical tourism. But here we are calm and safe. What could you say about the Chileans?
Oh yeah! It should be noted that the people are friendly and charming. If you show that you know Spanish, they treat you even more warmly. Although Chilean Spanish is a special topic. It took me a while to get used to the local dialect. I like that now, when there are few tourists, you can see Chileans as they are. How cheerful they are, how they sing in restaurants at family gatherings or can dance to the music of street musicians!
— How would you estimate the level of medicine?
— The level of service is approximately the same as in Moscow (I compare it with paid medical services). The doctors are eager to help you and are very friendly. For me personally, the most important thing is the opportunity to have a trusting relationship with your doctor, rely on him completely and 100% believe in success.
It’s right!,The attitude “everything will be fine” is radiated by absolutely everyone in Chile, from the gynecologist to the cleaning lady in the clinic! The last question is how did you know about us? Please, tell our readers what package of services you took and why?
— I learned about the company at the Vinsky Forum. We contacted the guys, I must say that Christina* is an excellent organizer and Danis** emits confidence and calmness. After chatting with him, there was assurance that everything would go smoothly, despite the transition period in the world. It is especially important for a pregnant woman, because we are on our own wavelength, in a different layer of existence. The realization that on the other side of the world you will be accepted, will not be abandoned and all agreements will be fulfilled is a vital thing. You are responsible not only for yourself, but also for the child, you make a rather serious decision just like that and fly to another country to give birth! You can only decide on this with full conviction that you are in safe hands.
I took the basic package*** because I speak Spanish. At the same time, the attitude towards me from the Chile Kids employees is at the highest level, the help is absolutely real. I am very grateful to you, guys!
